Crosswater is honored by Golf Digest as one of "America's Greatest Courses", rising from 600 magnificent acres of woodlands and carefully preserved wetlands. Designed by Robert E. Cupp and opened in 1995, the par-72 course plays to 7,683 yards at approximately 4,160 feet elevation. The layout is a heathland-style design that demands precision and strategy—the course threads by the Deschutes and Little Deschutes Rivers, which may come into play as often as seven times depending on tee selection. The course stretches 7,700 yards from the back markers with four par fives averaging just over 620 yards, making it one of the most challenging tests in the Pacific Northwest. Crosswater hosted the JELD-WEN Tradition senior major championship for four years (2007-2010) and has hosted the PGA Professional National Championship four times (2001, 2007, 2013, 2017). Golfers are rewarded for disciplined play with stunning views surrounding mountains and central Oregon beauty, and the course consistently earns praise for immaculate conditioning and fair but formidable design.
