Gallagher's Canyon Golf Club

A world-class test through ponderosa pines and a dramatic canyon—ranked among Canada's top 50, perfect for groups seeking both challenge and breathtaking Okanagan scenery.

About the Course

Set on a benchland high above Kelowna, Gallagher's Canyon is a masterpiece of golf architecture that threads through towering ponderosa pines and along the very edge of a spectacular canyon that defines the property. Designed by Bill Robinson and Les Furber, the championship 18-hole Canyon Course stretches 6,802 yards from the tips and consistently ranks among Canada's top public courses—it placed #55 on SCORE Golf's Top 59 Public Courses in Canada in 2025. The course demands precision and strategy at every turn, with elevation changes, well-protected greens, and a sequence of three par-5s that cluster near the turn, each stretching over 500 yards from the back tees. The ninth hole offers one of the course's most iconic moments: a stunning view from an elevated tee overlooking a stream winding through the canyon floor far below—a moment that captures why golfers travel great distances to play here.

The Okanagan Valley's temperate climate and abundance of sunshine create ideal golfing conditions throughout the season. The course operates from April through October, and the combination of challenging routing, eye-catching canyon views, and finishing holes that demand respect through vertical tree hazards makes every round memorable. Gallagher's Canyon hosted the Mackenzie Tour–PGA TOUR Canada from 2016 to 2022, testament to its standing as a premier destination. For groups seeking a full day experience, the property also features the 9-hole Pinnacle Course (par 32, 1,984 yards), a perfectly executed executive layout that welcomes all skill levels.

Beyond the course itself, the Canyon Bar & Grill restaurant serves fresh local ingredients and Okanagan Valley wines in a clubhouse that overlooks the opening fairway—the ideal setting for post-round reflection. A fully equipped practice facility (driving range with grass tees, practice greens, chipping areas, and practice bunkers) is available for pre-round warm-ups. Groups regularly book Gallagher's Canyon for tournaments and can customize their experience; the facility has hosted corporate outings and destination golf events for decades.
