April through late October provides the ideal window for playing The Cascades, with the course typically opening April 1 and closing mid-November. Late April offers spring blooms and mild weather with fewer crowds. May and June provide perfect conditions. September and early October deliver legendary fall foliage in the Allegheny Mountains—this is peak beauty season though rates are higher and the course busier. Late October through early November is exceptional for scenery with more moderate pricing and smaller crowds. The course is challenging to walk in winter conditions, though skilled players can access it during mild spells.
