Streamsong Resort - Blue Course

Golf Digest Top 100 Public·#27

Tom Doak's masterpiece emerges from reclaimed mining land as one of America's finest playable championship courses with dramatic dunes and strategic brilliance.

About the Course

Streamsong Blue is a Tom Doak creation that transforms a former phosphate mining site into an extraordinary golf experience. Rising from a 50-foot sand dune on hole one, the course features undulating fairways, strategic bunkering, and dramatic elevation changes across 7,160 yards of championship-caliber golf. The signature par-3 seventh hole plays over water to a contoured green nestled between lakes and towering dunes—a visual and strategic masterpiece that defines the property. What makes Blue special is Doak's philosophy of playability: wide fairways and few forced carries make the course accessible to golfers of all levels, yet the greens are complex enough to challenge the best players in the world. The turf runs firm and quick off the dunes, creating that links-style feel rarely found in Florida golf. The course winds through native grasses and around pristine lakes on a landscape of spectacular visual drama that feels utterly remote despite being just 90 minutes from major airports. Walking is encouraged (and required during certain seasons), allowing groups to fully immerse themselves in the setting and play at their own pace. This is resort golf done right—challenging without being punishing, visually stunning without sacrificing playability.
