From the moment you step onto the formidable 1st tee, the sights and sounds of the Atlantic Ocean set the stage for an unforgettable round. True to Colt's classic design, the course unfolds in two loops of nine, with the front nine hugging the dunes and coastline offering breathtaking sea views, while the back nine presents a different but equally challenging test as it moves inland before returning to the clubhouse. It's an exhilarating windswept links where little else other than dune grasses survives in the bleakness, and Trevose is a stern test of golf, especially when the wind is up. The greens are often wide and the fairways generous, but trouble awaits any errant shots, and the rough can be penal in places, with carefully crafted bunkers strategically placed throughout the course. Visitors can stay at a variety of 4 and 5-star apartments and chalets, enjoy dining at the Constantine Restaurant in the clubhouse that offers local Cornish cuisine, and relax at the outdoor swimming pool and tennis courts.
