About the Course

Wild Rock Golf Club is a stunning championship-caliber course carved from the dramatic landscape surrounding Wisconsin Dells. Designed by the legendary Hurdzan & Fry team—the same duo behind Erin Hills, site of the 2017 U.S. Open—this rugged 18-hole track blends three distinct environments: woodland sections with natural streams, the Dells' famous sandstone ridges, and the rocky mounds of a former quarry. The course is one of only a few quarry courses in the United States, with dramatic elevation changes and striking vistas that command respect from every tee box. Hole 15, the signature par-3 over the old quarry, epitomizes the course's daring design—though bail-out options ensure accessibility for all skill levels. The layout features five sets of tees, expansive greens, and strategic bunkering that rewards thoughtful course management. With GPS carts, a full practice facility, and a clubhouse recognized by Golf Inc. magazine for its award-winning rustic lodge design, Wild Rock delivers both challenge and charm. Recently, the course undertook a major green restoration project in fall 2025, re-sodding nearly 10,000 square feet to return the greens to championship condition.

May through September for optimal playing conditions. April and November are possible but seasonal transition months. The course operates April through November and features Declaration bent grass greens that recover quickly from Wisconsin winters, setting up for excellent spring play. Avoid winter months (December-March) as the course is closed. Peak season rates apply July-August; spring and early fall offer better rates with comparable conditions.
